The Natah at Kemala Living Sanur evokes a sense of openness and connection—linking the space within our compounds, including the façade, drop off & pick up point, Bale Bengong (open-sided pavilion designed as a peaceful spot to sit and relax), the Lobby Bar & Restaurant, and the other two properties owned by the siblings, symbolizing a strong family bond. Together, they create a peaceful retreat that embodies both traditional Balinese serenity and the spirit of family.
At Kemala Living Sanur, our Natah is graced by a single Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis Guineensis) palm tree, standing tall as a quiet symbol of life and rootedness.
In essence, because this tree grows at the heart of our courtyard, we named the space Natah Sawit—a place where nature and tradition meet. It is a peaceful, grounding spot that reflects the spirit of slow living and the beauty of Bali’s natural rhythm.
Adding to the charm of the space, a few squirrels have made their home in the surrounding backyard garden. They’re often seen playfully darting across the Natah and making their way to the Sawit Tree, bringing a lively, natural energy to the courtyard. Their presence adds a delightful reminder of the harmony between the built environment and the wildlife that shares it.

Just steps away, you’ll find the Lobby Bar & Restaurant—a welcoming, classic Sanur-style spot that captures the charm and simplicity of the area’s laid-back dining culture. A retired food and beverage expert with decades of experience at a four-star resort in Sanur, Kakek has brought his wealth of knowledge and a deep sense of care to every corner of this family-run retreat.
Beyond his expertise, Kakek also serves as Guest Relations, ensuring every visitor feels at home with his warm hospitality. He mentors the team, sharing his invaluable knowledge, and overseeing the smooth operation of the restaurant and accommodations. Kakek’s dedication extends to various general affairs, supporting his children’s vision and keeping the family business thriving.
